Members are elected each year to serve our Parish community. Monthly meetings on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 7:00 pm.

GOYA (Greek Orthodox Youth of America)
7th-12th Grade
Meets once a month, special activities throughout the year. Outreach to the hungry on first Sunday of every other month at Shalom Center in Kenosha, WI.
St. John Chrysostom Oratorical Festival
Jr. Division 7th-9th grade, Sr. Division 10th-12th grade
Competition from Archdiocese Dept. of Religious Education in Oratory. Metropolis of Chicago also allows entry in Essay, Poetry and Iconography. Winner of Sr. Division local is eligible for scholarship to Hellenic College, Brookline, MA. For more information about Youth Ministries contact our Church office.
Kimissis Greek Dance Group, Junior and Senior Group practices throughout the year and performs at the Annual Greek Festival
Ladies Philoptochos Society of Kimissis (established 1928)
A philanthropic organization. The mission of the Society is to aid the poor, the destitute, the hungry, the aged, the sick. Also to promote the charitable, benevolent and philanthropic purposes of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America and the Metropolis of Chicago. Open to all women of our parish ages 18 and older.

Community Kafeneion
Open to all Seniors over 55.
Our monthly luncheons for seniors 55+ will be cancelled until further notice. Thankyou for your patience and understanding.
Kimissis Food Pantry
Our Parish stocks nonperishable food and canned items, along with personal hygiene items for those in need. A ministry of our local Ladies Philoptochos.
Choir
Choir director: Katie Toler
Open to men and women who would like to assist in the responses for the Divine Liturgy on Sundays and for special services and feasts. First Sunday in October is annual Church Music Sunday in which we honor all our volunteers in our Choir and our Chanters.
Angelic Treasures Bookstore
Offers for sale: Orthodox books, Orthodox Study Bibles, icons, prayer ropes, incense, cards, CD's, frozen Lenten foods and children's books. Also a limited stock of books and prayer books in Greek. Open on Sundays and during regular Office Hours, Mon.-Fri. 10am-3pm.

The Orthodox Church proclaims the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In the Greek language, the word for Gospel is Evangelion which means literally "the good news." Learn more»
